Seznam zprávy: The title is not important for success, the Czechs think. But it can be an advantage at work

More than half of Czechs believe that a university degree is not important for success in life. However, recruiters agree that it is still an advantage in the job market. However, more and more emphasis is being placed on experience and work experience.

A university degree does not guarantee success in life, at least that is what the majority of the Czech public thinks. Data from an Ipsos survey, available exclusively to Seznam Zpravy, shows that 55 percent of the domestic population disagrees that a university degree is important.

“Even among university graduates, the share of those who believe that a degree is not important for success in life is prevalent,” says Ipsos communications manager Markéta Kneblíková.

It might seem that a university degree is an obsolete thing. But according to recruiters, a university graduate remains an advantage on the labour market. “University graduates are usually better equipped in terms of language and can learn quickly,” says Jitka Kouba, marketing director at recruitment agency Grafton Recruitment.
