Brno Business Services Week 2024: A Great Success!
This year’s program brought together leading companies, universities, students, and industry experts to explore the ever-growing potential of the IT and business services sector in Brno. With 70 international companies based in the city and 2,000 new jobs created every year, Brno continues to establish itself as a global hub for innovation in industries like aviation, telecommunications, and banking.
We began with a grand opening ceremony at the historical Assembly and Knights’ Hall of the New Town Hall, hosted by the Magistrát města Brna.
This inspiring evening brought together representatives from leading companies, universities, and local government to celebrate Brno’s thriving business services sector, which now employs one in six working-age residents.
The event featured a diverse range of activities designed to showcase the opportunities and innovation within the sector. Students had the chance to engage with representatives from top companies during inspiring lectures held at Mendel University, Masaryk University, and Brno University of Technology. Open days at renowned centres provided attendees with an inside look at the dynamic workplaces that drive Brno’s business services industry.
Some highlights from the week included:
- Mendel University: Insights from Infosys, KBC Global Services, and Zebra, exploring programs like Infosys’ high potential initiative and the Enter program at KBC.
- Masaryk University: A chance to meet representatives from Atlas Copco, KBC Global Services, Deutsche Telekom, Lufthansa InTouch, Kyndryl, and MANN+HUMMEL at various faculties, showcasing career development opportunities in Brno.
- Brno University of Technology (VUT): Engaging in discussions with Zebra, Deutsche Telekom, and MANN+HUMMEL on how to navigate future career opportunities.
- Open Days: Guided tours and open sessions at centres like Infosys, Zebra, MANN+HUMMEL, Lufthansa InTouch, and Atlas Copco, offering attendees a hands-on look at the vibrant ecosystem driving Brno’s business services sector.
