Office, Real Estate & Workspace Trends

What makes the office a vibrant workplace?

With hybrid working now firmly embedded, companies face a pressing challenge – how can the office become a place employees actively choose to be? The latest research from Colliers Workplace Advisory moves beyond speculation, delivering robust data on what truly influences office attendance – and what does not.

New Report: How Incentives Shape Real Estate in CEE

Colliers presents Unlocking Opportunity: How Government Incentives Shape Industrial & Office Real Estate in CEE – a report exploring how public support influences business location strategies across Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

Key insights show that while CEE countries offer some of the highest levels of incentives, their potential remains underused. These incentives can be a decisive factor for both tenants and developers.

Highlights include:

  • Regional Gaps: Incentive levels vary greatly – up to 5x between municipalities.

  • Business Services & R&D: Support can reach €30,000 per new job in selected markets.

  • Manufacturing & Green Tech: Strong backing for solar, wind, and battery investments.

  • Industrial & Logistics: Eastern and southern CEE receive the most generous support.

GBS & Tech Innovation

Global Business Services is entering a new era of AI-driven performance

According to The Hackett Group’s latest research, 42% of GBS organisations piloted Gen AI in 2024, and 63% are already seeing gains in productivity, cost, and experience.

In 2025, GBS teams will play a critical role in scaling Gen AI across the enterprise, especially in finance, HR, IT, and procurement. But with rising workloads and only modest budget growth, AI adoption is not optional — it’s imperative.

Partners of Talentor from 41 countries met in Prague

In early April, Talentor partners from 41 countries gathered in Prague to exchange insights on global hiring trends and the growing role of AI in recruitment.

Across the Talentor network—spanning four continents—they continuously explore new technologies transforming how organizations find and engage talent.

Three standout AI trends emerged:

  1. Smarter screening – AI assesses skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  2. Conversational tools – Chatbots manage early communication and scheduling.
  3. Predictive analytics – AI forecasts hiring success and future team needs.

Talentor is proud to be part of the Hunt Scanlon Global 40, representing a network of independent HR consultancies with local expertise and global reach.

Labor Code Amendment Awaits Final Approval: Get Ready for the New Rules

Pavel Kolář, Consultant at CEC Group, shares an update on the Labor Code amendment approved by the Senate on April 9 and now awaiting the President’s signature.

Key changes include: extended probation periods (four months for most, eight for managers), notice periods starting on the day of termination, and special severance for occupational illness or injury. Unemployment support will increase temporarily, while parents on parental leave will have their original position guaranteed for two years and can work part-time. Teenagers can work from age 14, and more employees will be eligible for wages in foreign currency. A proposal to allow termination without cause was rejected.

The President is expected to sign the bill in April, with most changes likely effective from June 1.
