Scott.Weber Workspace is expanding into the historic centre of Prague. Opens its largest project to date

The Scott.Weber Workspace network, which operates about two dozen projects with flexible office space in Prague, Brno and Ostrava, is expanding with another Prague address. In addition to Holešovice, Libeň, Chodov and many other locations across the metropolis, the company of Czech entrepreneur Adam Zvada has stuck an imaginary pin right in the heart of the capital. Into the renovated historical building on the Republic Square.

Originally a neoclassical building that has housed insurance companies and banks over the years and has also been used by political parties and the Laurin & Klement car company, it has been undergoing extensive renovation since 2022. The interior of the building with more than a century of history has been transformed into a modern office space, which Scott.Weber Workspace worked on with the building’s owner, the CRESTYL development group, and the Chapman Taylor architectural studio, among others. The total cost of the refurbishment, which will begin serving companies in the second quarter of 2025, exceeded CZK 1 billion.

The flexible office space spanning all floors of the building, also known as NR7, will provide its users with a complete work environment and a wide range of services. But they are also the largest project to date for Scott.Weber Workspace, which has been building and operating flexible serviced offices since the coronavirus pandemic. It currently operates offices with a total lettable area of over 70,000 sqm.

Flexible offices in symbiosis with a lifestyle centre
In a building built in 1905, unique features such as wrought iron railings, historic light fittings and a mirrored wall have been preserved, restored and placed in a modern context.

says Filip Pokorný, Director of Chapman Taylor, an architectural studio that was involved in the renovation of the W Hotel Prague on nearby Wenceslas Square.

Scott.Weber Workspace offers more than 4,600 sqm of workspace in a unique space that combines original historical elements with contemporary and 21st century comfort. These have not only created 90 offices and 17 meeting rooms, but also an internal atrium, roof terrace and winter garden.

“The whole building is designed to make the everyday a completely unusual experience, from the top gastronomy under the direction of Marek Koucký, to the roof terrace with a view of the 100-storey Prague, to the relaxation areas such as wellness or winter garden,”

NR7, standing on the corner of náměstí Republiky and Králodvorská Street in the vicinity of the Kotva department store, is not just another place to work and relax. Thanks to its location in the centre of Prague, it will also serve as a space suitable for various events, conferences or other social events and meetings.
