ABSL QUARTERLY HIGHLIGHTS: Q1/2025

We bring you the latest real estate updates from Brno, where the development of Vlněna, Ponávka, and Spielberk is opening new opportunities for offices, events, and residential living.

What’s new?

• In 2026, CTP will introduce 20,000 m² of new office spaces and over 500 rental apartments in Vlněna and Ponávka.
• This spring, Clubco at Vlněna will expand by 2,000 m², adding a new event space for up to 80 guests and a professional podcast studio.
• Courtyard by Marriott Brno at Spielberk has launched Jazzmin Bar & Dining, an ideal spot for networking and corporate events.

Pavel Kolář, Consultant at CEC Group, shares an update on the ongoing developments surrounding the Foreigners Act amendment.

The amendment to the Foreigners Act (bill no. 782) introduces several improvements aimed at enhancing the management of migration and foreign employment — an area vital to many ABSL members and their operations. While the bill has faced delays in the lower chamber of Parliament since its approval by the government in August last year, ABSL is engaging with policymakers to ensure that this important legislation remains one of the government’s priorities.

Unfortunately, with the last plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies scheduled for June and legislative timelines tightening, there is a growing risk that the proposal could be shelved entirely. Still, ABSL is committed to keeping this issue at the forefront of discussions.
